Restrictions

Non-resident aliens must be engaged in usual academic activity or activities for nine days or less at UT and not have been paid or reimbursed by more than five other U.S. institutions or organizations during the preceding six months. Travel expenses may be reimbursed for a reasonable period of time beyond the nine days

If rule is exceeded, NRA cannot be paid honorarium or reimbursed for travel expenses.

Requires written authorization from International Education Office at UT campus.

Requires written authorization from International Education Office at sponsoring university.

Honorarium payment must be for work relevant to primary position at UT.

An employment authorization document (EAD) is required and the work must be in the students field of study.
